The Trump FBI/CIA nominee acting just as we expect

Talking about the possibility he’ll be FBI or CIA director under Trump we have the following from Kash Patel

“We will go out and find the conspirators, not just in government but in the media — yes, we’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections. Whether it’s criminally or civilly, we’re going to figure that out — but yeah, we’re putting you all on notice.”

This is of course totally normal and nothing to be worried about.

Timer controlled fan

At the UI level I’ve got tap setup to toggle the switch itself for a simple on / off, and double tap to trigger the virtual switch which triggers the flow and starts / stops the timer.  The lovelace is setup to change to green for “on” and red for “on and timer” with the text changing for timer mode to the value coming back from the flow.

SSL got buggered up, interacting badly with Pirate Weather.  Back out didn’t work, removing pirateweather and then “ha core rebuild” appears to have unfucked things.  Now back to our regularly scheduled Saturday stuff.  On the plus side it was only the phone interface which broke, the underlying system was still working, which would have been even less of a problem if we had voice working.

Birthday cake happened

A certain young lady is five today, so on Saturday we popped down to see them all and of course cake had to happen.  Theme / Inspiration supplied by the recipient of course.  I sense a goth in the making.

“They have a cave troll”

Not really but we do appear to have a bees nest. Looks like it’s white arsed bumbles, which I know are generally placid and need some help. Though could do without hearing the little buggers hovering around waiting for landing permission.

They’re dropping down under the steps flags where the downpipe used to go from the conservatory into a small soakaway.

On the plus side there’s near zero chance of me accidentally walking over that bit as it’s awkward to get to at the best of times, on the downside… bees… near me… bees which need all the support they can get… murder insects.

Welcome to the summer. Later in the year I get to work out where the nest is under there and close off that hole.

Another breakdown of where we are

The bottom line is that they’ve decided to “let rip” hoping that they can get the COVID surge controlled before the flu one. Potentially at the cost of wrecking many lives, not death but long term disability.

We all know that this and previous governments have protected those in need so, no worries… right?
