Trial of the Crusader, Anub’arak (Final Boss)

Eveyone is talking about him, so here’s my thoughts.

As bosses go he’s pretty simple, it’s mostly a tank and spank, remember to stand on the white when he’s burrowed, keep together during that phase to make life easier for the tank collecting the adds.

Now… the final phase. As a healer this phase goes against everything I’ve trained myself to do, healers we all know how things go, we look at grid|healbot, see glowing badness of some description and heal the hell out of those who are hurting. It’s what we do.

It’s wrong.

He casts a leaching attach which drains 10% of the remaining health from each raid member healing himself

healing == bad.

It’s hard work holding off from performing anything except the most essential healing, watching those health bars dwindle and hoping against hope that there isn’t a damage spike which can’t be reacted to.

So healers, learn to love damage in the final phase, it’s actually our friend, and if you can lob in some damage. It’s not as if we’re doing anything else.

Levelling at the speed of pwn…

So, namtar is now 79 and pounding to 80 at a high rate of knots (600k XP in an hour or so last night), “dear gods” and “how”.

Easy. Cyclone Battlegroup and Alterac Valley. AV is a regular win for the Alliance on Cyclone (just never mention Warsong to me… ok?) and the XP is impressive. For each major element of the win at 79 it’s over 19k XP.

So that’s Galv, Drek and the four towers, plus some additional XP for the win itself. Somewhere around 110k honour or so a BG, add in the shoulders….

I admit this is the easy mode PvP toon (DK), however she’s still in her L72 questing greens and blues having not got half way through the Grizzly Hills yet.

PvP levelling, it’s PvP but it’s fast.

Wither 3.2?

July 29th : Extended maint for instance and load issues, there’s no chance they’ll roll 3.2 at the same time
Aug 5th : Unlikely, I reckon they’ll keep this slot for possible further extended improvement work on the instance problem
Aug 12th : Possible, there’s a decent gap to Blizzcon
Aug 19th : Unlikely, Blizzcon is coming that weekend.
Aug 26th : If it’s not on the 12th it’ll be here.

Wow….

Just worked it out there is only one upgrade which is better than the Pulse Baton I have for dps offspec I can find (which beats it on all stats).

I think I’ll save for the seriously expensive enchant rather than holding off for the kit upgrade.
